BHOPAL : The state government is preparing installation of Speech Translation System (STS) in ‘Vaicharik Mahakumbh’ to be organised from May 12 to 14, during Simhastha in Ujjain. It is the first time when such a facility would be provided in any programme in the state. The facility would help the audience in understanding the speech in their own language. Delhi-based companies have been contacted for installing the system. Generally, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have such a facility.
The representatives from as many as 85 countries from across the world have given their consent to attend Vaicharik Mahakumbh. It would be attended by 400 Indian experts too. There are many people attending the programme who do not have knowledge of Hindi and English languages. To ensure that the participants take full benefit of the speech, it has been decided that Speech Translation System facility would be made available.
The installation of the System would cost in crores. Culture Department, Principal Secretary, Manoj Shrivastava said to make sure that language does not become a barrier, the idea to install Speech Translation System during Vaicharik Mahakumbh is being considered. Shrivastava said around 800 experts are expected to attend the event whereas 5000 spectators would be present per day. It is being contemplated that the experts understand the speech in their own languages. Shrivastava said if the facility is provided then it would be for the first time in the state.
BJP national general secy attends meet for brainstorming congregation
National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Ram Madhav, attended the meeting for ‘Vaicharik Mahakumbh’, which would be held during Simhastha in Ujjain.
Madhav instructed officers in the review meeting for the said event. The meeting was convened by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. It was decided in the meeting that Indore district administration would be assigned the responsibility to make arrangements in the event.
The inaugural session of the ‘Vaicharik Mahakumbh’, scheduled to be held from May 12 to 14, would be attended by RSS Sarsangh Chalak Mohan Bhagwat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would attend the concluding session.
