Simhastha 2016: Madhya Pradesh CM ShivrajSingh Chouhan sends invitation to NRI« Back

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has written letters to the Non- Resident Indians inviting them to Simhastha 2016 – the divine event celebrating faith.

He has written to about 300 Associations of NRIs across the world giving details about the Simhastha event.

Mr Chouhan apprised the NRIs of significance of Simhastha-2016 saying that Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation would be facilitating them in terms of hotel bookings and transport requirements. All those planning to visit Madhya Pradesh for the spiritual event of Simhastha 2016, can contact for help through e-mail, an official release said.

Mr Chouhan informed the NRIs that Simhastha is a month long holy congregation, which is held every 12 years at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, the ancient city of India. He said that the Simhastha 2016 has been scheduled from 22nd April to 21st May 2016 during which Ujjain will be witnessing millions of devotees and saints visiting in quest of inner peace and holy dip in the sacred Kshipra river. He said that devotees will imbibe the spirit and devotion filled ambience of Lord Shiva.

The Chief Minister made an earnest request to the NRIs to visit Ujjain during this congregation and be a part of the celestial event. He also sent detailed plan of the event to facilitate them plan out visit to Ujjain.
