Ujjain : None of the trains will halt at main railway station during Simhastha Fair-2016. All the trains arriving from different routes will stop at flag stations. Police department has prepared a work plan on the line of Haridwar Kumbh fair. 26 special trains will be operated during the Fair.
SP Railway detailed this sharing his experiences of Haridwar Kumbh and presented a detailed plan before Western Railway Ratlam Mandal manager, here on Friday. It was suggested that parcel booking should be stopped at main railway station five days prior to the beginning of Simhastha and five days later to the culmination of the fair. Parcel booking will be provided at Nagda, Indore and Dewas stations.
Three flag stations have been proposed. They are Mohanpura on Nagda track, Panwasa on Maksi-Bhopal track and Vikram Nagar on Dewas track. Passengers will be provided tickets only on flag stations. All the flag stations will be equipped with facilities for passengers. They will also have railway platform to halt 24 coaches and the engine. Simhastha control room, police and security forces will be deployed at the stations. CCTV cameras, fire brigade and first aid will also be available there.
Rs 450 sanctioned for compensation
State government has sanctioned Rs 450 as compensation against the acquired land for holding Simhastha Fair. Department of Urban Development and Administration gave the financial approval to the compensation. It would be distributed the land owners soon.
9 pantun bridges to be built
Nine pantun bridges will be build on Kshipra River at Simhastha Fair-2016. Divisional Commissioner Dr Ravindra Pastor has written to the Principal Secretary of Home department for the same. The work will be done by Ministry of Defense and Army. SP has decided the points where the bridges will be built.
