Ujjain : Energy minister Rajendra Shukl addressing the media persons at Dutt Akhara Media Centre on Monday said that uninterrupted power will be supplied to the Simhastha Fair area. MPEB has taken all appropriate measures to ensure the constant supply of power.
The minister told that power was being supplied to all the Akharas, Khalsas and their followers, saints, Mahamandleshwars and others for free of cost. Government will bear the cost of this supply worth Rs 60 crore. MPEB is also installing the power cable at their pandals and it costs Rs 4.13 crore. Around 2210 power connections have been dispensed to the saints. To deal with the complaints regarding power supply, the call center functions 24×7 and its toll free number is 1912.
A four tier communication plan is being executed at the fair. Power is being supplied in the fair and the city through high tension center and 33/11 KV sub centre. Six sets have been installed in 23 vehicles at the fair which would work in case of emergency. 45 generators and 23 mobile towers have also been installed. In case of serious power cut, supply would be ensured from Gandhi Sagar Hydro Power Plant within 15 minutes. Power load of Simhastha fair area is 100 MV while the city consumes 110 MV electricity. The high tension centers have the capacity to supply 500 MV power. MPEB has spent Rs 118.15 for 49 works of electric infrastructure.
