Ujjain, Feb 21: The unique amalgam of Indian spiritualism and culture – Simhastha – will be held at Ujjain from April 22 to May 21 this year. For the first time, Madhya Pradesh government in collaboration of Indian Railways has undertaken a unique publicity campaign to reach message of Simhastha-2016 to entire country. Under the campaign, significance of Simhastha and invitation to it by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are reaching the people through rail coaches.
The state government has got prepared coaches of Kushinagar Express specially. The train has virtually become a mouthpiece for publicity of Simhastha. Originating from Lokmanaya Tilak station of Mumbai on February 18, the train reached Vidisha railway station via Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi, Hoshangabad, Habibganj and Bhopal. It halted at over 100 small and big railway stations during the journey. At every stoppage, passengers’s eyes were set on bogies, displaying invitation to Simhastha attractively while mentioning glory of Simhastha. Not only passengers at stoppages, but also the people of the area from where the train passes could not hold themselves back from seeing glory of Simhastha and invitation by the Chief Minister written on bogies. Electronic and print media also covered the journey. Passengers at all stoppages lauded this unique method of publicity and also gave their suggestions.
Apart from Kushinagar Express, Public Relations Department’s undertaking Madhya Pradesh Madhyam has also selected 4 more trains for such publicity including Jabalpur-Rajkot Veerawal Express, Mumbai-Darbhanga Bihar Pawan Express, Bhuvanseshwar, Odisha to Mumbai Konark Express and Punjab Mail.
