I’m touched with aura of holy city: Juna Acharya« Back

Ujjain : I am touched with the aura of holy city, such buzz and advancement have struck me and the message of Simhastha is resonating across the globe and I am sure this Simhastha will be first of a kind, said Acharya (pontiff) of the Juna akhara Avadheshananda Giri on his maiden Simhastha visit to the city on Tuesday.

The renowned seer arrived in city around 11 am in the morning and took part in Shiv Shakti Yajna at Gumandeo Hanuman, performed Kshipra Poojan, offered his prayers to Lord Mahakal and Goddess Harsiddhi and later moved on to visit his camp on Barnagar Road. Pt Radhye Shyam Shastri guided the Acharya Mahamandleshwar in worshipping the Mahakal Jyotirlingam. The seer in his short interaction with press said, “Preparations being made for Simhastha mela are amazing, I thank the government and administration to take such serious cognizance of saints community.” He said the officers are preparing to welcome the poorest one with grandeur, which is an appreciable move.

After visiting Dutt Akhara, the Acharya first paid his obeisance to Lord Duttatreya at the temple located in the akhara. Further, he performed Kshipra poojan and bhumi poojan to mark the start of red stone beautification work at Dutt Akhara ghat. Later he moved to take stock of Acharya Shivir located on Barnagar road. Pt Lokesh Sharma was the priest on the occasion. Mahant Hari Giri, Prem Giri, Umashankar Bharti, Peer Parmanand Puri, Rameshwar Giri, Anand Puri, Chairman Central Simhastha Fair Organising Committee Makhan Singh, Chairman Ujjain Development Authority Jagdish Agrawal, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, Mela officer Avinash Lavania, UDA CEO Shivendra Singh, ADM Avadhesh Sharma and ASP Amrendra Singh were present on the occasion.
