The Incident Command System is a tool devised for command, control and co-ordination of emergency response. The final plan for resource management, training to personnel and rehearsals will be ready within fortnight. The SP said that presently, the police were micro-planning all the requisites for better management of the Simhastha fair. It is possible that a plan may fail due to certain reasons. Thus we are focusing on all the aspects of Design, Equipment, Procedure, Operation, Supply and Environment (DEPOSE) pertaining to the planning of the Simhastha fair and preparing a back-up plan for the same, said the superintendent of police.

The police department has been organizing training for the cops from past one and half year, so they can give duties efficiently during the fair. Officials said the idea of the workshop is to train all concerned officials on disaster management so that they could pass on the knowledge gained to other personnel coming in for bandobust during the religious congregation. Around 25,000 police personnel will perform the bandobust duties during the month long fair.
