Ujjain : The grand convention ‘Vaicharik Mahakumbh’ to deliberate upon the significance of Simhastha Mahakumbh will be organized during the festival of faith in the city. Foundation of the venue of the convention will be laid at village Ninora located on Indore Road at 9.30 am on Monday.
Simhastha Fair Administration has geared up to make all necessary preparations to host the Vaicharik Mahakumbh. A meeting of the organising committee will be held at the venue on March 21. Ujjain and Indore district administration are all set to host the grand convention. CSFOC Chairman Makhan Singh, convener of the convention and Rajya Sabha member Anil Madhav Dave and Minister of State for Culture Minister Surendra Patwa, MLA Mohan Yadav and Principal Secretary, Culture, S Manoj Shrivatsava had a meeting at the venue to discuss the preparations on Saturday. Divisional Commissioner Ravindra Pastor, IG V Madhukumar, Commissioner, Culture, Ajatshatru Shrivastava, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, DIG Rakesh Gupta, SP Manohar Verma and Mela Officer Avinash Lavaniya were present.
Though the convention would be held in the Ujjain territory, but Indore administration would manage all arrangements. BSNL would create a wi-fi zone under 2 km of the circumference of the venue. A new website would be created for the branding of the convention. Students of Panini Sanskrit and Vikram Universities would get an opportunity to present research papers at the convention. Scholars of Howard and Michigan Universities would also present papers. Officials also visited the venue spread over 30 bigha land. 5 helipads would be made near the venue. 2 additional helipads would also be made. Later, a meeting of the event organising committee was also held at the Simhastha Fair Office, where Makhan Singh reviewed the various preparations and bestowed various responsibilities to the members.
According to Anil Madhav Dave, a Simhastha Declaration will be released during the Ideological Kumbh and 8 current issues will be covered in it. He informed that four issues were discussed during four conventions organised at Sanchi, Indore and Bhopal, earlier, and Ujjain’s convention will be the last and final. RSS supremo will inaugurate the three-day event on May 12 while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest of valedictory function on May 14. On May 13, noted orator Jaggi Vaudev will address the programme. About 300-400 delegates, including intellectuals, scientists, religious personalities from across the world will attend the event.
“We want to showcase the social discipline which India has since time immemorial…Only the Mahakal City has power to give a solution to the contemporary issues,” Dave added. Those present on the occasion included Diwakar Natu, Mayor Meena Jonwal, Rakesh Dagor, Pradeep Pandey, Brajesh Lunawat and Vibhash Upadhyaya among others.
