Ujjain : Directorate General of Police (DGP) Surendra Singh on Thursday reviewed the preparations of Simhastha Fair done by the Police Administration. He made inspection of camps, temporary police stations, residential quarters and police control room.
DGP visited newly developed police control room at SP office premises. He observed the city’s traffic management through the mega LED screen connected through CCTV cameras across the city and Fair area. He directed senior police officials for the improvement in camera quality. Singh made inspection of all the services managed at the control room and issued necessary directives to the officials. Then he visited the residential quarters for cops built at Fazalpura and directed to install water tanks and open flush to prevent from the chocking of pipeline. He also visited PoliceLine and made inspection of the tent camp developed for the outsider staff for the Simhastha.
Directives were given to ensure management of basic amenities like potable water, electricity, ventilation, light, fire brigade and medical facility. He also made inspection of temporary police station developed at the Line. Next he visited Gaughat and inspected the temporary police station. He also discussed over the pontoon bridges to be developed near Gaughat on Kshipra. Singh then inspected the extensive police control room developed at Ranoji ki Chhatri. He also directed officials to developed cabins for divisional commissioner, Collector, Fair Officer along with police officials. PBX arrangement will be managed at police control room. He also visited Mullapura, Ujarkheda, Dutt Akhada and other areas. State level Police in-charge SL Thousen, ADGP V Madhukumar, DIG Rakesh Gupta, SP MS Verma and others were present.
