DGP briefs cops ahead of Shahi Snan« Back

Ujjain : Directorate general of police (DGP) Surendra Singh on Monday briefed the police officials deputed for Simhastha Mahakumbh ahead of the first Shahi Snan scheduled on Friday.

He asked cops to be on their toes to ensure fool proof security to each of the visitors arriving at the Mahakumbh. DGP also reviewed the final preparations done by the police administration.

DGP Singh inspected the camp sites of the police force, check-posts, darshan arrangements at Mahakaleshwar Mandir and many other spots. He addressed the senior police officials, zonal ans sector in-charges, BSF, CRPF, RAF and Home Guard officials at Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Vikram University.

ADGP V Madhukumar detailed about the police force called from other districts and the plan prepared to manage the huge crowd. DGP urged all the policemen to contribute to the grand congregation with a touch of service to the humanity. Every policeman must perform their duty honestly and with the sense of responsibility.

SP MS Verma assured DGP to follow his directive word to word. He on behalf of the entire team assured him to act with the sense of responsibility at Mahakumbh. DGP in his visit reviewed the darshan arrangements at Mahakaleshwar temple, security management, temporary police station at Kaal Bhairav and police camp, Lalpul camp, police camps at Oxford Junior College and Gyan Sagar Academy, police quarters at Fazalpura, check-posts etc. He also inspected the meal provided to the cops and expressed contentment. ADGP SL Thousen, ADGP Anvesh Mangalam, DIG Rakesh Gupta, KC Jain, Bhatt, RP Singh and others were present.
