Cops to be deployed on Simhastha duty briefed at workshop« Back

Ujjain :  A daylong workshop to brief the planning and preparations of Simhastha Fair to the police officials and employees was held at Complex Hall of Kalidas Sanskrit Academy, on Tuesday.

IGP V Madhukumar in his address at the workshop directed all the cops to perform their duty with discipline, politeness and full professionalism. SP MS Verma explained the entire action plan and the management of police administration. In the nine hour marathon workshop, several issues like crowd management, traffic, parking, ghats, Akhadas, pressure points, security management and other points were discussed.

Policemen were informed about the traffic management for the visitors arriving from all 6 main routes. Parking facility will be available at satellite towns. Checking will be done for each vehicle entering in the city. Information regarding parking of vehicles during general days and on the days of royal bathes was imparted.

Other details include traffic management at outer and inner ring roads, facilities for disabled to convey them to ghats and temples, planning for crowd management on the days of royal bathes, no vehicles zones at the parts of city, traffic routes for citizens on the days of royal bathes and common days, two-wheeler zones in the city, etc. IG Madhukumar told the cops that it was a moment of pride that they have been joining this festival of faith. Deputy fair officer Abhishek informed about the poster, signage to be held on poles and the mobile application to diagnose the problems and complaints of the common people.
