Cops in Simhastha duty to be given medals on I-Day: CM« Back

Ujjain : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday joined the police feast organised at DRP line police ground. He announced that the policemen who served during Simhastha Mahakumbh will be honoured with medals on the Independence Day.

Addressing on this occasion, CM Chouhan said, policemen played a role of foundation stone during the mass gathering of Simhastha. Due to their scrupulosity, the Mahakumbh got concluded without any hindrance. He praised the cops for their polite and courteous treatment towards the pilgrims during the fair. Many of the cops played role of Shravan Kumar who lifted elderly devotees on their shoulders. He is proud of his police force.

CM announced that the policemen would be honoured with the medals and citation for their commendable job in Simhastha on the occasion of Independence Day. Rs 5000 will be deposited in their accounts as an honorarium. CM also visited 32nd Battalion and joined the programme of CRPF, BSF, paramilitary force and home guards. Minister Paras Jain, CSFOC Chairman Makhan Singh, DGP Surendra Singh, Divisional Commissioner Ravindra Pastor, ADG V Madhukumar, DIG Rakesh Gupta, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, SP MS Verma and others were present.
