5000 sanitation workers to be deployed in Simhastha Mela area« Back

Bhopal, Jan 25: As many as 5000 sanitation workers will be deployed in Mela area by Ujjain Municipal Corporation during Simhastha. These employees will be deployed at Akhadas, ghats, function venues and roads linking satellite towns. The municipal corporation is also making arrangements of dustbins and containers for waste collection.

Maximum 2100 sanitation workers will be deployed in Dutt Akhada Zone followed by Mangalnath Zone 1200, Mahakal Zone 900 and Kal Bhairav Zone 800. For waste collection 500 dustbins of 60 litre capacity would be placed in entire Mela area. Besides, 700 handcart containers and 800 small containers will also be present in Mela area.

Parking arrangements to be displayed on screen

Modern technology will be used for efficient parking arrangements during Simhastha. Arrangements will be made to display parking arrangements on screens to be installed along roadsides. Arrangements will also be made for advance booking of parking through mobile app or portal. CC TV cameras are being installed for ensuring safety at parking places. Cloakroom facility will also be provided for safe deposit of baggage at screens.

Facilities expanded at Ujjain railway station

In view of Simhastha, facilities have been expanded at Ujjain railway station. At platform number 1, seating area has been developed in 1700 square meters for smooth movement and convenience of passengers. Rest room facility for 1500 passengers has been developed from the side of Nagda.
